on December 5, 2005 by Keane L. Boyd I have a Tanzer 7.5 with an old Collinbrook furler. The furler itself worked great until hurricane Wilma. The spool that holds the furling line around the drum was damaged. The top end and extrusion are fine. Is there anyway to repair this with a similar replacement drum/spool? Or maybe make a part out of epoxy….Do you have any advice? Thanks, Answer: Hi Keane, Sorry. I don't know what a Collinbrook furler is. There are some well made, low cost furling systems on the market now for small boats and you will probably be better off replacing yours rather than repairing it.
