Question: There's a lot of talk about cleaning sail but is there anything that
can be done to clean corrosion from the grommets?

Answer: Hi Doug,

There is not much you can do to restore a corroded grommet short of aggressive scrubbing with lots of fresh water and a stiff brush to get down to good metal.
