Question: Hi, We just bought an 79 Ericson 34T. It has an hydrolic adjustable backstay made by Stearn I believe.

The problem is the pressure gauge is not working so we have to guess how it is set. Our question is do you know anything about these systems and do you have any suggestions for finding parts.

Answer: Dear Kim,

If it's an external pressure gauge, you can probably find a stock gauge (or parts) at a specialized marine retailer. Check Navtec - www.navtec.net.
