Solutions for Cruising Sailors

Question:
I have a small 14 foot boat with a mainsail and a jib. I've printed off some of your solutions about cleaning my sails. What is the best way to fold my sails for storage? Since my boat is so small, I trailer to the lake and store my mast, boom and sails in a storage shed.

Thanks for any help!

Answer: Hi Greg, Fold your sails parallel to the foot with folds about 18" wide. Then roll the folded fabric from luff to leech. Take out the battens before folding and try to keep the sails in a dry place with no mice. Regards, Dan Neri
