26, 2006 by Bob Olesen I would like to use a G-0 sail on a Beneteau 331. I am thinking of using the anchor roller as the attachment for the tack. Can you advise if the loads would be too excessive. Thanks. Answer: I have not seen this done where the use of a furler is involved. G-0's require more luff tension than the G-AP3 or G-AP2 to be efficient. As a result, I would likely suggest against this method. That said, I have often seen the anchor roller bail used as a tack attachment on the standard G-AP3 or G-AP2 which use a Snuffer sock. Best of luck! |
