Question:
Hi, I am considering buying a Little Harbor 44 that currently has in mast furling main sail. 1) How difficult and pricey is it to change to in boom furling 2) will this allow better performance with appropriate sails.

Thanks,
Charles H

Answer: Hi Charles, The answer to question #1 is very pricey since you would have to replace the mast and the boom. The answer to #2 is that the performance of the boat will improve due to less weight in the rig and a lower VCG for the rig and boat. Also the mainsail can be built with more roach area and full battens.
