Question:
I am about to replace my current North Sails with new sails and am pre-disposed to buying North sails again given the good luck I have had with the current sails and the service provided by North. But I am an engineer and want to be sure that the sails I get are the best quality for the dollar. Other sailmakers have given me some idea about the stretch resistance, fiber type and density and finishing of their sails. Can I get similar info from North for your Premium NorDac?

Thanks,
Stephen

Answer: Hi Stephen,

Thank you for you question regarding the properties of our Premium Nordac polyester cloth styles. As you would guess, we have many weights and styles of these materials that suit a wide range of boat size and rig aspect. If you tell me what type of boat you have I would be more than happy to give you specific information on what we’d suggest for a given application.

In the meantime, if you haven’t already, check out our cloth information pages on the North public website at:

Best of luck!
John Gladstone
