Question: Hi. I am looking at a used North 140% furling genoa originally from a CS 36Merlin to use on my Hunter 34. The luff on the hunter is ~45.5 feet. Do you know if this sail would fit the Hunter (with a Profurl furler) and by any chance what the CS luff measurement is? (I can't get a measurement form the seller). Enjoy this forum.

Answer: Hi Geoff, The rig height of the CS 36 is 49' and the length of the foretriangle is 15', so that sail is probably about 1.5-2' too long for your Hunter 34.

Before you buy it you should take it to a sail loft and have the sailmaker give you a description of what would have to be done to make it fit your rig.
