| For
cruising sailors looking to enhance their offwind performance, North's
G-series Gennakers have been recently updated for smooth handling
under autopilot steering. To further improve flying manners, each
North Gennaker mold is optimized for your specific aspect ratio
and fore triangle. G-Series Gennakers feature TrueRadial construction
for a remarkably smooth, stable, easy-to-trim shape. A valuable
addition to any Gennaker is North's SnufferPlus™ sleeve (see below),
which makes hoisting and dousing a breeze.
The G-2 Gennaker
(above) is an all-purpose sail designed for broader angles.

G-0 Gennakers
Derived from Code 0 asymmetrics used by winning Volvo Ocean
Racers. Flat shape allows the sail to be flown at tighter
reaching angles.
G-0 gennakers are available in Nylon
or Soft NorLam construction. |

G2 Gennaker The
largest and most powerful Gennaker we build. Excels in light-to-moderate
running and reaching. Forgiving "sheet it and cleat
it" shape. |
G3 Gennaker
Our most versatile Gennaker. Same
forgiving traits at G2, but in a smaller, flatter package. Great
for light air tight reaching and running/broad reaching in all
conditions. |

North G-Series Gennakers
are made of NorLon, North's premium nylon spinnaker
fabric (see left.) For all but the largest boats, .75 oz. cloth
is generally used. G-Series Gennakers are also available in
1.5 oz. NorLon, NorLon 250 and Norlon 70 in a
wide variety of designer colors. Custom artwork and graphics
are available through North
Sails Graphics.
North's Norlon spinnaker fabrics feature an extremely flat
weave to reduce airflow through the fabric. Additional finishing
is applied to further seal and stabilize the cloth. Click HERE

Snuffer Plus
Snuffer Plus is an ingenious
system that makes setting and dousing your Gennaker easier and
safer (especially for shorthanded crews) by gathering and encasing
it in a Nylon tube. SnufferPlus features a special tapered tube
that ensures smooth operation and molded funnels (poly, fiberglass
or carbon, depending on boat size) designed to minimize twists
and wraps while gathering the sail. With SnufferPlus, you deal
with an easy-to-handle tube rather than arms full of sailcloth
blowing over the rail. A convenient control line quickly pulls
the SnufferPlus up or down. |
