Roller Furling Genoas

A host of advanced features make North's RF Series the lightest, strongest and
longest lasting roller furling headsail you can buy. With North's exclusive RopeLuff added, sail shape is significantly improved when partially furled. North's RF series will redefine your expectations for roller furling headsails.

RF Crosscut Headsails (shown, left) are
rugged, low-maintenance sails that offer
high-mileage durability at an affordable price.

RF Headsails are available in Premium
NorDac
or NorDac 4800 fabric. RF sails can
be equipped with North's own RopeLuff and special RF patches engineered to provide head and clew support when the headsail is partially
furled.

NORTH CLOTH:
Premium NorDac™

Premium NorDac Series fabrics (left) are the most tightly woven, long lasting polyester fabrics in the industry.

Premium NorDac is constructed using 100% Type 52 Dacron, a rugged, high tenacity yarn developed by Dupont® specifically for sails.

RF RADIAL (left)
For lightest weight and lowest stretch, the
RF RADIAL is built with tough, light Soft
NorLam™ fabric. Stronger fabric is concentrated in the leech and foot where loads are greatest.

Soft NorLam is a Mylar/polyester laminate that combines strength and durability with a soft, easy handling surface.

NORTH CLOTH:
Soft NorLam™

North's Soft NorLam (left), features a thin Mylar film sandwiched between a warp oriented polyester taffeta. With the Mylar hidden in the middle, the sail has a traditional look and soft polyester feel.

Panel construction: New North StepUP panel construction utilizes different
weight sailcloth within individual panels to achieve unprecedented strength-to-
weight in a cruising genoa. Cloth weight and seaming are computer optimized
for a smooth, fast shape.

PictureNorth's RopeLUFF™ uses staggered lengths of
polypropylene line contained in a sleeve sewn onto
the luff instead of foam. RopeLUFF lasts longer than
foam, resists mildew, won't compress under load, and
dramatically improves sail shape when partially furled.
It's also a snap to retrofit to existing genoas!
