The most advanced sails in the world—3DL molded, laminated, composite sails—are built at the North Sails manufacturing site in Minden, Nevada.

With computer-controlled robotic machinery and the trained eyes and skilled hands of our people, we make custom sails for the fastest yachts in the world. And we fly around in a hang-glider bag. It’s a fun job.

Our job is making fast sails for fast boats; but our skills are different from those of a traditional sailmaker. We work with high-performance aramid and carbon fibers and a very sophisticated production process.

Since you’ve probably never built a 3DL sail before, we’ll teach you. We’ve got an extensive on-the-job training program. Most of our best employees started out in entry level jobs.

You’ll work in a 24-hour, seven-day-a-week manufacturing facility in Minden, Nevada. That gives you plenty of opportunities to enjoy the Northern Nevada lifestyle and the Sierra Nevada mountains. We are just a few minutes from the California state line and Lake Tahoe. Our employees live in Minden, in Gardnerville, in Carson City, and in Reno, Nevada. Our offices are in the Carson Valley, with a great view of Jobs Peak.
